Proper preparation is crucial for the best spray tan results. 

Waxing, nails, pedicures, hair, and other services should be performed at least 48 hours prior to tanning (never after the tan) to avoid having an adverse reaction with the spray tan solution.

To minimize dead skin cells and ensure an even tan, be sure to exfoliate and shave the day before the spray tan.

Wear dark, loose fitting clothes to the appointment, preferably cotton as solution may rub off on clothes. In most cases the solution washes out of fabric with cold water and detergent. Avoid wearing silk. No tight clothing (jeans, leggings, bras, etc.) this will cause the solution to rub off and cause streaking.

Wear flip flops or open toed sandals. No tennis shoes or boots.

The entire prep and tanning service takes approximately 30 minutes.

Per FDA regulations chap stick or lip gloss is recommended to prevent solution from entering the mouth. Nose filters are available to prevent inhalation of spray. Undergarments are recommended. An extraction fan is always used to minimize overspray. 

Avoid any contact with water. Wait at least 8 hours before showering. (2-5 hours for a rapid tan. Be sure to shower at EXACT instructed time for rapid tan). Pat dry after showering.

A cosmetic bronzer is included in the solution and will appear immediately once the tan has been applied. The bronzer will wash off during the first shower, revealing the customized spray tan. The tan can take up to 24 hours to process and reach the maximum color.

Avoid activities that may cause sweating or rubbing of skin (for example exercising and tight clothing) for 24 hours after the tan application.

To maximize the longevity of your spray tan, it's important to hydrate your skin regularly. Begin applying moisturizers daily starting 24 hours after the tan application. Avoid lotions containing mineral oil, fragrance or baby oil, these products will minimize the length of the tan. Aveeno Naturals lotion and body wash is a good choice. 

Avoid chlorine, salt-water, hot tubs, shaving, long hot baths and showers when possible.

Be sure to pat dry after showering, no harsh scrubbing.  

The spray tan solution DOES NOT contain suncreen. Suncreen should always be applied when spending time outdoors.

With proper post- tan care, the tan should last 7-10 days.
